The Gaffer is a satirical football website. It burst into the nation’s consciousness in March 2008 and was very funny indeed for one year. Then it shut for about one year while we worked on a lovely new design. Now it is back, and very funny indeed again.
When Saturday Comes wrote (about us): “It’s taken a decade or so, but at last there’s a football satire site of consistent quality that avoids the easy path of players’ WAGS and haircuts for poking football in the ribs”. Thanks, WSC.
The London Paper (RIP in peace) said we had: “A style somewhere between The Onion and Fantasy Football League, channelling the anarchic spirit of Viz”. Cheers, The London Paper.
We are staffed by a small team of writers and editors and one website-creating hero. We’d welcome your story ideas and feedback at the address below.
Thanks.
